The charming indie-rockers “THE JAMBORINES“ from Yverdon (VD) are the winners of the MyCokeMusic competition 2010. With “Tales of broken Afternoons“ the guys publish their debut album, telling stories of life, love, and longing, under the “California blue” sky of Switzerland.  The quartet has grown quickly, seemingly creating a “buzz” wherever they go. The songs seemed to find their way onto the radio stations, television commercials, and to the fans almost automatically. With newly acquired recognition in Switzerland, the boys set out for Norway and England, playing roughly 100 concerts in only a year. Upon their return, the Jamborines enrolled in the MyCokeMusic competition, and won . . . . beating out 400 other bands with their boisterous live-energy, and catchy melodies. THE JAMBORINES are an authentic, playful band, that perfectly deliver a sort of “rock‘n‘roll launch pad” for the emotional voice of their San Diego-derived front-man, Caleb Kylander.  On “Tales of Broken Afternoons” (Anchor Platten/Irascible), THE JAMBORINES prove that also in Switzerland, we rock‘n‘roll with international flair.
